Die Burg erwacht....Frühjahr kommt...

“Noble Ladies – dear Sirs, You are welcomed!”

The first Truchsess of the Castle asks you to table.
Be aware of the great honor to dine in his house, history has been written in this castle.

In the year 1220: sceptre, crown and imperial orb and the coat of the German Emperor by the Grace of God are kept in the castle. At the same time the Emperor is waiting for his culmination at Rome. The insignia of power is guarded closely in the castle.

George III, also called the “Bauernjörg” invites you for dinner. His castle braved the farmers and he has been victorious for God, the Emperor and the peerage.
Be aware of the honor to dine in his masonry.

Shut your face if you don’t like the food! The wheel is standing by.
The “Schandgeige”(a medieval instrument for torture) loves to wrap around your neck!

But all in good time and well reflected, just remember: “Don’t moan if everything tastes a bit watery!” You do not deserve any better.

“Noble Ladies – dear Sirs
The dinner – it may begin!”

So you may be welcomed in the castle. A medieval dinner is waiting for you.
The herald will explain the eating habits to you. The food will be brought to the table on litters. Fine mead, beer, wine, well water, apple juice and cider are there. The medieval eating habits are strict and here in our castle cooking is authentic and so are the eating habits.

Provision of garments is possible on request. We are prepared to provide an adequate program during dinner. Remember, you are going into another world. Don’t be surprised if tabacco still isn’t brought in to Europe. It’s kind of strange for you to eat with no more than a knife. In the Middle Age food was of great value and wastefulness was severely punished.

Strike up a dance after dinner?
You like to have an archery tournament?
A gruesome tour around the castle?
We are well prepared for everything – just come and see!
